Assessment II

In Development

A new performance commission exploring who gets assessed, who makes the decisions and what those decisions mean. Assessment II builds on the questions behind Assessment, expanding them towards a larger-scale, audience-centred performance about power, bureaucracy and the human impact of assessment systems.

Development to Date

An early scratch performance used verbatim theatre to begin testing the idea and its potential. That first experiment opened up possibilities for a larger work, but Assessment II isn't a finished production waiting to tour. Its form, scale and relationship with audiences will be developed through the commissioning process.

Commission Assessment II

We’re looking for a commissioning partner interested in developing Assessment II with us.

The commission would create space to develop the artistic form, work with audiences and explore how the piece could respond to the partner, place and context in which it is made.

There is also potential for venues presenting Assessment to become part of this development, creating a route between the face-to-face performative consultation and the development of a larger theatre work.
